LOL 5 min episodes is the definition of short. Donghua too godly for it to still be so short and at this animation quality. Best Chinese Donghua and probably the baddest/greatest MC ever to grace Chinese cultivation animations. This guy is the combination of Shi Hao, Han Li and Qin Yu all combined into one with flawlessness. Qin Chen is the god MC of all MCs imo.

This also why I have not watched any donghuas in a week. Will continue like this until end of year or even further. I need 100 episodes to pass before I continue these animations. Waiting for 10 mins of airtime a week makes me want to KILL the entire production staff.

Having a flawless MC makes the story dumb. There is no room for improvement, no room for maturity and growth.
But meh..in most cultivation donghua's the MC doesn't really grow anyways. no change in personality, its just basic surface level stuff.

LOL no it does not. 100,000 years of Refining Qi is probably one of the BEST donghuas to get release, with one of the godliest and badass MCs to exist in Chinese cultivation animations. It's highly rated even though the animation could be better, the story is really good and extremely interesting. Also, QC is flawless is his training and understanding and the why should be obvious to anyone with a brain watching this series, not to say he does not have flaws in other things. It's flawless how he can grow, whether he is learning or not the writing of it is what I mean. He is the template of what a greatly written MC should be, across all forms of animation not just Chinese.

At least for me, best MC is Su Yi from First sword immortal. QC falls short a bit on character. Su Yi has all the coolness of QC and he has awesomely defined character which never steps out of it. It is just more colorful beside just cool and smart. His drunken laziness just makes some really epic events
